"While one person hesitates because he feels inferior,
another person is busy making mistakes and becoming superior."
-Henry C. Link
Self-esteem is something built over time by many different experiences. If we are lovingly cared for as a baby and given encouragement as a child, we are more likely to value ourselves. Healthy people do not feel inferior to others- they are just aware that all people have different talents and interests. Some people are gifted artists, some have a flair for numbers, some are brilliant scientists, and some are compassionate caregivers. We should never let an inferiority complex hold us back. What are we afraid of? That we might make a mistake? Go for it. We all make mistakes-smart, healthy people learn from them and move on instead of wallowing in self-pity.
TODAY IS A NEW DAY, AND I EMBRACE IT WITH LOVE IN MY HEART. I FORGIVE MYSELF FOR MY PAST MISTAKES, AND I BEGIN MY FUTURE WITH MY SELF-ESTEEM INTACT.
