Reading of The Day!

Seeing Myself Through the Eyes of Others

"When your reread a classic you do not see more in the book than you did before; you see more in you than there was before."

- Clifton Fadiman

You could reread the same classic every decade, and something seemingly new would jump out at you each time. Perhaps the first time you read War and Peace, you were most interested in the relationship between Pierre and Helene. The next time you read it, you read it, you related more strongly to Prince Andrei and Natasha's romance. The next time, you were touched by Nikolai and Princess Marya. Classics are classics because because they are masterpieces with a multitude of facets; it is impossible to grasp them all in one reading. People will be studying the classics for generations to come.

TODAY I WILL BEGIN REREADING A FAVORITE CLASSIC.
