The Whole Truth and Nothing But
"As scarce as truth is, the supply has
always been in excess of the demand."
- Josh Billings
Around election time, many of us ponder the fundamentals of our society. We review the basic issues that confront us, and we try to elect the best people to take us forward. In our modern world, it is easy to take a backseat and just assume things will continue to proceed as they should because we live in a free, civilized society. This is dangerous thinking, however. If we all took a backseat, who would safeguard the principles that have brought us to this point? We need to demand truth and excellence. Even if we ourselves are not capable of handling the various issues our government faces, surely we can choose the best candidates and entrust them with the top jobs.
TODAY I WILL DO MY RESEARCH, AND I WILL SUPPORT THE MOST CAPABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY CANDIDATES FROM MY COMMUNITY.
